You should be good on ground clearance. I ran mine with an RE3... you have to cut a small chunk out of the back of the current motor box to let the stinger on the pipe run through, and then to get the covering down properly, you'll need to add a piece of balsa or something that bridges from side to side behind the tunnel... takes about 5 minutes to set it up, and it works great.

However, if you're going to run a Pitts muffler, you won't be worrying with this... and you can mount the smoke gear in the pipe tunnel!

LeeLee, you shouldn't have any ground clearance issues.

I broke my stock landing gear and the replacement gear is a good 1/2 inch shorter and still plenty.

It should be here tomorrow so I am going to start on it and take my time making sure the engine box is sturdy and everything is right as this one is going to have to last me a while. I hope to get the new 110" Yak later in the year after they are released. May be asking some questions here and there but im ready to start on it.
