Which 100-120cc Extra?

More toward IMAC style flying. Keen on getting into gas and are looking at 35pct aircraft. Mind that this is not the first time I'm considering pulling the trigger to move up in size. Previously i chickened out, or came to my sences, pending on who you ask. Still flying 60-90 size nitro. Let see how it ends up this time around?
For the moment there is an EF at 40pct discunt, and a Krill new in box selling at second hand market. This could be my entrance into gasser. I'm into Extra but unsure wich mfg?
Krill is obviously different by being composite (more durable?) and in my point of view best looking. If going ahead with this, my desire would be a four stroke engine. Other than that as simple set-up as possible.
Which mfg gets your vote and why?
Krill
EF
PAU
Pilot RC
AW

I'm sure you probably know already, but a 35% plane will cost $3000-4000 and sometimes more to set up.

I wouldn't want to risk that on my first gasser, but that's me. I think 50cc is great to get your feet wet.

Thanks for heads up. Yes I'm aware of that. Regardless looking at this size and hoping to get some ideas and advice of which mfg. Last time I was about to launch my first gasser project, the general advice here at FG and by fellow modelers was to jump straight onto 35er and skip the 50cc. If getting into gasser this is most likely what I will do. Eventhogh the steep is big coming from nitro and there is alot to learn by taking a "middle steep" with a 50cc plane.

I would pick a company with good service and parts available.

EF,PAU,Pilot all offer top notch customer service..you won't go wrong with any of these these

Thanks, is there any other considerations regarding IMAC/3D edge btw dif mfg? Other than the set-up of the model as all of them can do both.

Look at the Hangar 9 35% Extra. It's an awesome 3D ride and does very well at IMAC as well. I've been flying mine for a couple of years now (IMAC) with a DLE 111 and an HV setup using Hitec 7955 servos on ailerons and elevator and a JR 8911 on rudder. Tx is a Futaba 14SG and 614 Rx, Fromeco Wolverine switch and TechAero IBEC for ignition. Has been bullet proof and 100% trouble free. My 1st 35% plane and the best I've ever owned.

Dont discard the OMP EG Extra 330SC.

I have one, and it makes me look better than I actually am!

If you have never owned a composite before and it is in your budget keep it in your short list. I got my first last year (35% QQ YAK) and absolutely love it. That is made by Comp Arf but we have a Krill at the field and the quality looks to be every bit as good. A coat of wax twice a year will keep the outside looking brand new for years and there is so much room inside you can mount your radio gear almost anywhere you want. That was paramount in my case to get the CG right without adding any lead. I'm not good enough to notice any differences in flight performance between comp and Wood
