Hi Forest,

I am not a big fan of WW1 aircraft but I am a huge fan of fine crafstmanship which your Albatros displays in spades! Wonderful project from the beautiful fit and finish to the superb sound produced by the Schlundt prop drive. And some excellent piloting as well. One of the most realistic WW1 era models I have seen, very impessive. I wish you all the best with it and hope your efforts are rewarded with many years of reliable service.

Very kind words Chad. I generally do WWII models but there is something special about an Albatros that appeals to me, plus the dawn patrol flyins are getting so popular I thought a nice big one would be neat.

Forest, I was at Dayton this year and saw you fly your Albatros, I also followed your build. Beautiful work and it flys great. This Dawn Patrol had the best weather we have had in years, I'll be at the next one.

Happy flying
Rich

Held Bi-Annually the Adelaide Golden Era Air Races has become a Must! attend over the years, with R/C modelers from around Australia attending. This year i again worked at this event and was not really going to film it. But! working at the starting box and at first just getting some shots with my phone because the planes were so cool, i decided on the Sunday to get the video camera out and try to get some good shots. As i was working it seems i only shot the planes i like the best so my apologies to those i didn't film this year. So if you like P-38,s, P-47's, P-51, Gee Bee's Mew Gulls then sit back and enjoy a glimpse of the 2015 Adelaide Golden Era Air Races, hope you enjoy, please share if you do! Thanks for Watching.

cheers chuck

Very nice. You plan to weather it?

Note: the back side of the prop should be all black though. This way the yellow is not seen by the pilot as a distraction.

I wouldn't say that was a "hard and fast" rule necessarily.

Good idea on the prop. It needs repainted anyway. Yes I want to weather it some when my buddy has time. It's already the most scale I've had so I'm happy with it the way it is if it Don't get weathered.
