i certainly wasn't complaining about gtech. i am just anxious to get our new wheelpants and bob's gear! mike does excellent work and that is precisely why we here at aerotech chose to go with them exclusively for our wheelpants and our wing/stab tubes.

Oh I know. I can't wait to get my new gear. That gear that Bob has ordered ought to be light. Would you think the 35% -40% wheel pants will look better than the 33% that graphtech sells. Am just trying to decide between the two. Sizes that graphtech sells.

we use the 40% size pants from graphtech for our 35% kits as they run fairly small. we are working with mike right now on a brand new size for our 42% that i should have the proto for this week! the 40% size pants we have been getting are BEAUTIFUL!!!! i'm sure the new bigger ones will be equally as impressive!

I have not spoke with them since last Monday, but I plan on giving them a call today.

They told me that the gear should be around 1 lb. 4 to 5 ozs. That is light for a gear on this size airplane.

As other builders have echoed, this is definitely the frustrating part of the build as there's a lot of work, for little "visible" progress. Keep it up! We're all rooting for you

Re: Ultra Light 55% Extra 260

I finished all the beveling tonight and it looks like I wound up with around 60 degrees of throw, not that I will use it all, but it's there. I think I will be able to finish the wings this weekend and start on the masters for the canopy and cowling.

It's the prep work to 2000 grit that takes the most time.
