Appears to be same plane...new colors....sweet...but i wont buy one unless they addressed the weak 2 piece gear.

Ok....i see it says pre-bent aluminum gear but cant tell if its one or two piece.....

Dang it......other than the weak gear mount i loved mine but changing the fiberglass gear for alum wont do unless they redesigned the gear mount.......so i pass....sorry GP

I'd love to hear if there were in fact ANY changes from the old version besides the scheme.

While it looks nice, as mentioned above it's the same Pitts M12 they had a couple of years ago. Biggest difference is the price, this one is $700!

Good questions and comments for GP to clarify. The plane isn't even on their web site yet as of last night when I looked. What I do know is that the plane, as before, looks great and is a real eye catcher to me. That's why I posted up the "find" when I saw it.

The first one...blue n white....was an attention getter at the field...when i brought mine everyone wanted to see it fly....i loved flying it but the gear was a two piece with only one bolt on the tip which would allow the gear to twist and pull through the bolt which would then rip out on a less than perfect landing. After i ripped mine out on a clump of crab grass i cut out the fuse around the gear area and made a metal plate that connected the two gear as one...then put in more sturdy framework around gearmount.....then she was sturdy and i flew her every trip to the field that season untill a fellow club member wanted it bad so i sold it. Im in no way ripping on GP....ive had many GP planes and loved them...but if all they did was change color...change the gear from fiberglass and rebadge it a "60" cc......then im really dissapointed and to top it off they went up a cpl hundred on price....

The aluminum gear would probably give enough to save the fuse. I love mine and would buy another one. Nice colors too.

This plane just vanished! What happened to it? It's like it never existed.

Yeah i thought that too....its not on tower anymore......i wont buy one if its flaws are not redesigned anyway....mine just had too many issues .
