I love the scheme. I bet your cg is pretty close, if anything probably a little nose heavy (at least that's how mine came out with the batteries mounted at the front of the tank with a DLE 61)

The problem with the DA70 is that it is ear damaging and club closing loud.

I personally feel it sings a very sweet tone. Especially when tuned correctly

just as I expected my plane is too nose heavy.

fg 57ts weights 680grams more than the DA60.

I really hate to add ballast weights on planes.

So far anyone uses weights ?

Before you add weight, move the rudder servo to the tail. Hang the plane in the Vanessa rig and tape the rudder servo at the location you want to mount it, then check where the cg is. If that doesn't do it then I would move the batteries to the tail as well. I would move as much as possible before adding weight.

This is why I like the Vanessa rig so much. It tells you where cg is, not where it should be. Allowing you to adjust things to fit.

I just completed adjusting the CG on my edge. I used 350g of weight to compensate the nose heavy. The fg57ts is just too heavy 2090grams compared with DA70.

My two batteries were shifted to the rear behind the rudder servo
Lets see how it flies in the air.

I'm not Jase (Jase's dad) but I think I can answer your question. With the DA-60 we had to mount the two RX packs and the one Ign. pack to the motor box. With the DA-70 all we did was move the two Rx packs to the wing tube and move the Ign. pack to just in front of the wing tube. This also makes for removal of the packs so much easer for charging. Jase is very picky as to not "pig out" (his words directly ) an airplane. With that being said, he did not notice any change in the flying characteristics of the edge by adding the 70 other than the obvious added smoothness and power the DA-70 offers.

My Edge came out significantly tail heavy with a DA60 and a Pro Flow canister. Had to buy a heavy spinner and then move all batteries to the motor box.

Never even seen a DA70, but my DA60 runs smoother than any other gas single I have ever owned. And thanks Jase's dad for your video on retarding the timing on a DA60. It was very helpful to me.

My Edge with da60 and Blazing Star mount was super smooth at idle. Almost electric like smooth.

@Jase. Man you just get better and better. Wow on that last video.
