Re: I'm a trex owner WEeeeee!!

I plead guilty to buying a Trex on March 7 of 2007. I hear-by sentence myself to a lifetime of insanity without possibilty of becoming better.
Someone tell me (a diehard airplane guy)why i bought a heli.

I just got done flyin at the church across the street. Gettin the gyro tuned in and trying to figure out a good pitch/throttle curve. I have never done anything but hover two of my friends rappy 50's and a blade CP. but with the trex i can hover nose-in, out, left and right and do forward flight also fly backward toward myself and slide it in on the front skis right to my feet. I think i like heli's

Yakwrecker,

I am as guilty as you. I am a diehard for the planes. Actually just purchased my first 40% Extra. Was flying my 35% last year and took my T-Rex with me every weekend. It sure looks funny sitting there on the field with the big planes.

Not sure what kind of radio you are using. I found that setting 3 flight conditions with duel rates was the best way to go. In idle up 1 and 2, I set the pitch with a expo setting. I found that this makes it real easy to control around 0 - 3 degrees of pitch. (this was very easy to do with the 14MZ)

I'm using a DX7. I'm just a little lost on setting up the idle up modes. I assume that the MZ have a digital graph displaying the curves of both throttle and pitch. Should the idle ups be shaped like a V. I'm pretty happy with the way my norm. mode is.

Best way that I was told. Set your end points on your servos to get the currect amout of pitch. Then in your idle ups your pitch curve should be -100 to +100. The expo was my choice to make it so in the center position the heli doesn't drop as quick. As for the head speed your setting should be a set throttle positon. The ESC will control your head speed.
