Can someone point me in the right direction, I would like to contact the person
that competed with an electric aircraft. If I remember correctly it was the old style 35% H9
260. I have a 27% electric that I have not flown yet. If things workout well I
would like to try electric for 2015. Hopefully if I talk to him I can avoid some of the common
pitfalls when using an electric setup.
Thanks
Paul

Paul...It was Geoff Dryer from Canada. I'll try to find his screen name on here.

Hi there Paul.... At the World Championship, there was a gentleman from Canada, Greg Marsden, who competed with an electric airplane. he did VERY WELL, coming in second place in Advanced.

If you post your question on the IMAC website, I am sure you will also be able to gather first hand info from Greg.
Regards,
Wayne

The only difference is he only had to worry about enough battery juice for 1 sequence and not 2 like we normally fly on the local level.

Nothing but love for you..... If I remember correctly, someone used to win quite a few contests just not enough in a single year to force the move up..

what I’ve done so far is ok and I’m on the right track. Now I will
not have to bug him with questions he has probably answered 100 times already.

Thanks again

I will lookup Greg on the IMAC Forum. I’s encouraging to know that it’s
possible to compete at a high level with an electric setup.
I just received my speed controller, speed controller programmer, prop
drill guide and some bullet connecters. It’s time to go to work.

Thanks for the suggestion.

Paul
