Re: Show us your shop!

Here's mine. It's in part of the garage. I spend alot of time there, wife's good with it most of the time though. It's because of her I have this wonderful space. She said a couple of years back " You need a workshop, lets put it together", and so we did.
Planes are just the latest in a long line of hobbies for me, she's good about putting up with my whims. Let's see, first there was scuba diving, then stained glass, (which I plan to do again when I retire for the second & hopefully last time) and now RC airplanes. Yep, she's put up with alot in our 28 years together.

Thanks RCAkro. I used Slat (slot?) board instead of pegboard, I like it much better, seems to hold more weight & you can slide things around to adjust.

The truck is my neighbors,he has a bunch of very clean old vehicles, couple boats, motorcycles, hot rods, horses, basically he has run out of room for now.He did just build me a nice carport off the side of the garage,it should fit under there nice.

Re: Show us your shop!

Here is an update on mine. I got the door in, new underlay and tiles down. I found out why 39cent tiles are 39 cent tiles. the squares are not all the same size. but for a workshop thats going to be used and abused they will work. I have a little more trim work to do and cleaning and I can start back into building.

Re: Show us your shop!

Here's a few pics of mine in progress. Got the planes hung up, Computer desk is bought, but still sitting in the garage, work bench from Harbor Freight was shipped yesterday.

Next allowance cycle gets the work table for the center of the room (8ft plastic banquet table from Lowe's)

It's coming together.

Re: Show us your shop!

This is mine just after i finished it out and did the floor. I also added a 2ton ductless AC unit so its 72 degrees year round.

No place for cars. Only a trailer and airplanes.

The last photo shows the 4x8 work bench with place to store planes under it as well so it doesnt take up to much room.

I love in a lot of the shots of the shops we all get to see who "borrowed" all the banners from the Major events.

I got the ones I have hanging from a buddy of mine. I never asked him where they came from.
