I have NO clue what is up. Must have cached some bad link or something - it seems the planebender/enid-ilaire.php threw the error when attempting a connection. Oh well. I am on the site now. Below is the error I received from both locations.: Not Found The requested URL /planebender/enid-ilaire.php was not found on this server. Hello Dave, I picked up 2 almost new Pro Flow canisters, from Murry. And, I am having a dilemma with my DA 200 and KS 95 canisters. My question to you, and I do not know if you will know the answer.
DO you know, relative to KS 95 canisters, do the large pro flow canisters have larger diameter perforations inside the canister, as compared to the KS 95, which would make it less susceptible to clogging? Reason I ask: I have 2 DA 200 with same exact set up: 1. DA 200 Light, with KS 95 canisters, Mejzlik 30 x 13 EVO, on a Extra airframe. I get, on the ground, 6600 RPM, and in the air, it peaks RPM at 7400 or so. A real Beast! 2. Da 200 Light, with KS 95 canisters, Mejzlik 30 X 13 EVO, on a Yak Airframe. I get on the ground, 6330 RPM, and in the air, highest RPM is 6800 RPM. Now, I have realized. The first DA 200, which is my 3rd DA, I have tuned the motor, from Day 1. and I had it running well. With my other DA 200, from day 1, i never touched the needles until yesterday. and it was due to me trying to squeeze more RPM out, as I noticed, it is getting sluggish. Today, I leaned the needles, and no matter what I do, i can get a consistent and good transition, even by leaning it in, but cannot get more RPM than 6300. SO I imagine, all along, it has been too rich, and now, the KS 95's are clogged. SO my plan, right now, I will open up the carbs, to look at the screens, to make sure they are clean. If so, then I will remove the KS canisters and place the Pro Flows in there, and see what happens!! Should be fun. |

Doc... If it helps... I have been using Pro-Flow mufflers on my DA200 for over 4½ years now and have never had to clean them out like other folks have had to do with their KS mufflers.
I have not had any decrease in pulling power. AND they still work extremely well. Wayne |
