DA70/Proflow small canisters
Having had great success with both the large and medium sized Proflow canisters and also being involved with the testing of Daves very successful smooth pipes.....running one of our 3 DA70s on small Proflow cans was a no brainer! A new/ old Jesky scheme 89" AJ Slick that was a perfect mate for the DA70 / Proflow canister combo.
We had high expectations today when heading out to the field to maiden the 89 with the new motor and exhaust. The results were BETTER than expected! !!! Unbelievable low rpm sound and seamless transition throughout the entire throttle range. ...nice job Dave! We tached 6990-7000 (cold) on the ground spinning a falcon 25X8W prop. ...very impressive. That is good news. I am building a 88" PAU Extra 300sp with a DA-70 and smooth pipes. Plan on a Falcon 25x8 wide.

DA70/Proflow small canisters videos
Here are two short videos of the DA70 and small Frt dump Proflow canisters running on the ground with premium gas and redline @40:1. The motor is brand new and already runs flawless with the stock header and small Proflows. We have another 70 running jtec mufflers and unbelievably Daves cans are spinning up the falcon 25X8W prop at 150 more rpms then the JTECs. One video is before take off and the other was after landing!
James Turn up the volume and listen to the sweet low range and idle sound. Very impressive!

This is another awesome combo! James
It sounds like you spent a full day doing the carb Tune. That's an awesome sounding engine. Began is running the same engine on our "Small" Smooth pipes. Unreal power and results. Also we are now making our "Baby" smooth pipes For the 20cc singles or the 40ish cc twins. Thank you James for posting the video!! Dave |

Dave, as you can see by the video we made yesterday, the DA-70 on small pro flows is a monster!! And it sounds so good........ The engine is still new, only two gallons through it...... We love it!! Thanks for switching out the front dumps for rear dumps..... There is a lot of oil coming out of that engine while it breaks in and cleanup is much easier!! See you at Lodi!! Dave.......

Well the Huckfest is gearing up. Check out the thread here on Flying Giants. I have been trying to get a head count but this time of year so many people are scrambling to enjoy every minute of the good weather either flying or with their family.

Well, probably won't happen this month but I think I'm going to swap my ES55G tuned pipe in my Slick with a DA 60 to the medium can. I've been getting some midrange burble and if I'm going to drop some money on a new muffler system, I'd rather do it with a canister since my header should work fine with one.
Now do I want front exit or rear exit? |

Ben, Chances are when using a 11" header you will hit the front former with the dump tube if you go Front. So Rear exit is what you want.

Hello everyone! I hope all of you have had a great summer of flying and your planes are still in 1 piece.
I had 2 customers a while back that sent me an awesome video of both of their planes flying with DA-150 engines and Pro Flow 3-D Canisters. If you guys are out there could you please send me that Video or post it here? Thank You! Dave |

Planebender, Steve Mullis coming at ya. I was wondering if by any chance you can repair my pro-flos. My gear collapsed on takeoff when I hit a hole in our runway. Both stingers are bent and one is bent and broken through on the backside of the stinger going into the can. It would probably be a few weeks before I can ship them to you but can they be repaired before I pay for shipping to you? They are front exhaust . Thanks, Steve

I got my 38% Yak 55 flying with the Pro Flows with a DA 150 attached to them. Got a serious performance boost. First 2 flights were flown with a Falcon 30x12 carbon prop and it would rip the prop at anything above 3/4 throttle, put a Mejzlik 31x12 Evo L on it and it still rips. Never did that with the K&S cans I had attached to the DA before.
