The better quality items make flying that much more enjoyable.

Just my 2 cents.

.
I would have to differ with you on this issue. I have flown many, many planes and own both cheap ones, 33% and 35% Nitro planes, along with name brands Aeroworks, AeroBeez, Hanger 9 35%, Pilot, MX2.
I have maidened 81 planes last year for fellow flyers, and 39 this year already. My experience tells me, that any plane can be setup and fly good, if you build right, setup right and use good hardware, servos, etc. Having someone who can guide you in setting up right is paramount for good flying airplane. I DO AGREE that some manufacturers provide better hardware than others, but then again, you can always upgrade to better hardware at some expense. Good hardware, good servos, extra epoxy, glue in weak areas, reinforced landing gear, motorbox, these are all things most all of us do who want a long lasting good flying airplane. At least I do.
This has been my "bible" in the past.

There is ne re-inventing the wheel when it comes to plane building.
Ask the RIGHT people for advice. By that I mean somone who has done a build
of the same type as yours. If you are doing a large scale aerobatic plane then
dont ask the local club guy who builds Moths and Cubs to point you in the right
direction.

FG is a great place for quality guidance and having your own bulld thread is a great
way to flushout others who have done the same plane.

Also if it looks wrong it most likley is wrong.

DON'T TRUST THE MANUAL WHEN IT COMES TO CG. Misprints and misconversions have been numerous over the years. Ask others here that may have flown the same plane, for their optimal cg.
