This all new Super Cub ARF from Phoenix Models sports a 107" wingspan and comes with a fully-detailed cockpit and pilot figure. This PA-18 features flaps, a hinged cockpit door and window, and is setup for a 30cc gas engine or comparable 2500 watt electric motor and 12s LiPo power.
As with all big Cubs like this, you can expect superb flight characteristics, nice slow landings with the flaps down, and great sport aerobatic performance. The Phoenix Model Super Cub retails for $549.99 and will be available in late November 2015 at Tower Hobbies.

I fly it as an FPV bird. I'm running it on a RCG 26cc that's been sitting on the shelf for years and I like the way it flies. (and I'm at 4200' and its hot out! )
If you want to do an outside loop, you need to dump the nose and pick up some knots.. With the 30cc it did better. I'm not needing excess power, just realism and plenty of power for takeoffs so I'm content. Have let a number of RC'ers who are also single engine prop pilots fly it and all say its very realistic. So far the gear seems sturdy and no real problems... |
