For those who dont know Saturday after the practice round of the Youth Masters I brought out my 260 to fly. I flew it three times. On the third flight about 9 minutes in I was doin rollin harriers about 25-30 feet or so. Probably lower. Anyway I was down low with the plane for the first time and boy did it do awesome.
Well in the 9th minute was doin the rollin harrier and the plane was right in front of me and the motor quits. The motor full quits at a knifedge position. I managed to roll the plane all the way around back to level and it hit REALLY HARD. I mean hard. But guys only thing was that it bent the landing gear a little bit. Tony from Dalton you designed this plane well and I am VERY happy with it. Only thing I have to do is bend the gear back.
I havnt really look to see what caused the motor to quit. I just no the ignition battery only read 3.7. And from the regulator 0.0. Im guessing the regulator must of burn the battery up. But guys I am really lucky that I saved this airplane. I will have a video up soon. Thanks Tony from Dalton Aviation!!!!
