Great video! Some things in my opinion that make hovering really easy to learn.
1. Big airplane 30% plus
2. Getting that Harrier or Hover started and down to the ground (sounds weird but when your 3 feet off the ground with a moderatly big plane lets say 50cc the ground effect makes it easier to control the torque and you feel more "locked in". plus you can see the plane lol)
3. Wing area and weight (hovering a lead brick isn't the best or easiest and getting out a of a tricky situation when your down on power is tough, also the wing area goes hand in hand with weight if you have a low wing area mushing into that harrier to hover can be a little "interesting" with a really bad tip stall.)

It may look like an aerobatic plane, but it sounds to me like it's going to be hard to practice 3D on it. I'm guessing you're probably pushing 13-15 lbs on it.

IMHO, everyone practicing 3D should have an inexpensive, well-flying, and durable as heck plane to throw around and practice the moves until it becomes more automatic before moving it our prized possessions. To this effect, I think the 3dEPP Yak works very well. Here's a great review on RCG

These kits (or ARF is a better word since they build unless than 2 hrs), are built and hand painted in the good ol USA. So far they're having some difficulty keeping up w demand which isn't exactly a bad problem seeing that they're almost all spoken for as they are finished. Best bet is to email them or pm them to be put on the waiting list.

I love these training videos that showthe transmitter inputs in real time. Nicely done.

As for for the durable as heck and well-flying 3D'er, I've been real happy with my 3D HobbyShop Extra300 SR. Set it up for 4S which turns it into a rocketship ( for those early learning panic punchouts). For a small 47" electric, this plane locks in really well and has been a real confidence builder. I also have cracked her up and repaired her countless times and she still flies like she's on rails.

PS: For those using surgical gloves when it's cold, yes they help, but unless you're making a video to show stick movement :-), a transmitter glove is a lot better.

Yup, something like raydiowarm is a great product. However, not that good for filming .

thats right Josh....i learned from low attitude like making an approach and then hit the elevator + throttle and enter in hover. Right now i know much more how much throttle i need and also how can i cut a little bit to let the 50cc drop more and more attitude and get about 2-3 feet frome the ground, but it took me a few time and also some relax pills lol.

I want to learn more now about entering from harrier, just need to get the perfect AOA speed and manage my aileron sticks.
