Looks fantastic Bob!

Bob spent about an hour on the phone with me last night explaining the process he uses to creat this type of tooling. Bob, you are an amazing asset to the R/C Community for sharing your knowledge the way you do

BTW guys - We'll have the first set of laser cut parts later this week! I'll be checking them over for fit and finish then sending them down to Bob for his blessing.

Thanks for all the kind words guys...

I managed to get the lay-ups completed on the master today, and will start mudding it up and sanding tomorrow evening.

I see the groove around the plug about where the parting line would be if you were doing a two part cowl. Is this to allow the glass to overlap without leaving a bump?

Yes it is, it is much easier to fill a groove with bondo then bring the entire side up level with the overlaps, if you notice the area around the cowl ring, I also took that area down about 1/8" so I could use bondo on the edges to conform back to the fuse.

Thanks Matt, You think you will have room in your suitcase to take the tooling back with you in December?

Did you do the entire cowl shaping free-hand or maybe use some templates along the way or something?

Regardless - just amazing work - AWESOME!!
