Thats the problem Jay, every other manufacture loves to post pics and get the info to the interested consumer and not string them along. Unfortunately, thats doesnt seem to be the case here....

Re: Carden Ultimate

Guys: I have been out of town today, just returning. Sorry to disappoint so many on this thread. When you see the Carden site in a few days concerning this project you'll understand why the "hush hush". I can say that the plane flew, it flew well. It did not show a lot of the tendacies that bipes usually show. Most show a lot of KE coupling, this offering will only need about 3-4% KE mix to correct. That's the same as my Carden 40% Extra 330. There was just a hint of roll coupling in KE also. We did not mix it out that day though. Best thing is the plane tracked straight up without having to make a thrust change. This is nice because the cowl has a cowl ring that looks best when matched with the spinner plate. So we don't have to redo the cowl front. The vertical was unlimited (with snaps). We are very pleased that the plane is perfect with a stock 150cc and regular cans, no pipes needed. The 20-300 showed no signs of wanting to climb at higher throttle settings, or balloon on take off like other bipes have done. The hightlight of the flight IMO were the snaps. They were clean broken into at the entry, and locked on at the exit. A very scoreable snap in the IMAC world.

To answer everyone's questions about pictures from Dan. It's simple, I don't have any. I don't have any pictures to post other than what's on the Carden site right now, and a few other detailed construction photos while the 20-300 was being framed up. Can't post what I don't have in house.

This will most likely be my last post on the 20-300 for a while. I absolutely have no other info to share other than whats on my post #110. As a side note, I am waiting for pictures to be posted on the Carden site with the rest of you guys.

I thank those that have supported me in reporting all that I can as we go along. For those that wanted to know more, like pictures and more details so you won't be "strung along", it is in the best interest for a manufacturer and supporting others (me) not to discuss or show a product that has not been finalized. Please see post #110, we are not going to produce this version. A very detailed description of the test flight and picture(s) will be on the Carden site in a few days.

I hope this helps

Re: Carden Ultimate

I heard that it suffered some sort of structure failure in flight (wing perhaps) and didnt survive to fly another day... If that's the case, I am definitely sorry to hear that.

There were pics long before the release and information up and questions being answered. The closed lip "secrecy" is stupid... its toy airplanes... every other manufacture seems to get it.

Unfortunate flight report. I guess that's why you test and iterate! I'm sure the final product will be strong...that's what Cardens are known for.

Can't wait to see the production version.

Just an old marketing ploy. Anything to have people look your way. Say just a little bit, say its a big secret, then say nothing, then come back with big fanfare. It is a timing thing on bits and pieces of info. Got people talking though.
