I received my 50cc Yak this past weekend. Very nice plane. I got the blue and white version.
I spent the day removing the wrinkles in the covering and opening up any necessary holes in the covering.

In the elevators and rudder I can't find the hole for the threaded rod to screw into. Is that hole pre drilled the the elevators and rudder?

Yes,there should be a hard block in line with the Elevator servo opening. Same for the Rudder in line with the pull pull cables.

BH recently added an assembly manual on his website.

If you can't find them, use a sealing iron and get the area warmed up. It makes it easier to see the control horn mounting locations. I then use a pin and poke through the hole, followed by a old soldering iron.

They are quite a ways back from the leading edge of the control surface too.

Thanks Troy.
I will do that. I went onto BH site and looked at the manual. I have a better idea of where they are now.

It's a great flying design; very stable, but still great at 3D.

I took a look at the mauanl and noticed they where a fare distance in. I might not have been looking far enought outwards.

From everything I have heard or read. I do believe it is a great plane. I can't wait to get it in the air.
I'm going to be running a Evolution 58. I had it in a Carden Yak 54. And it was very impressive in in that.
It should be great in this Yak.

Is there a hole pre drilled in the hardwood block or do I have to drill the hole?
I heated to covering, thinking that I should be able to see something under the covering.

I still can't see anything. It's like there is no hole in the surface of the elevators or rudder.

I have done everything I can think of to find the location of the control horns short of pulling the covering off of the bottom surfaces. Which I don't really want to do!!

Is yours the 100cc? You might email Bill Hempel.
