hiperbipe ribs

Here is the rib cross section with measurements .

My mock up of the motor box has enough room for fuel and smoke tanks of 24 oz. each
I bet i can build a smoke system for under $25.00 LOL.

Well i think i'm about ready to start cutting wood. The landing gear mount will tie into the bottom formers as well as the top and bottom longerons so if i nock the gear off it will have to take the fueselage from the doors forward. so I guess it wouldn't be a bad landing it will go straight to a crash

I know what your talking a about with the landing gear. The way it is all tied in on the cap 232 I'm building I'm pretty sure it will rip the whole nose off the airplane.

I dont mind wiping out a plane cuz it gives me a reason to build another one, I find i like to build rather than repair.

Building is great but when funds are tight one is forced to repair. Plus when I got back in the hobby a little over a year ago the wife said you can get one plane, that was six planes ago. Mind you one original kit, then a couple of foamies made from blue fan fold foam, then the next two including the cap which is still being built were from plans, and I told her she couldn't complain about the one ARF I have since it was given to me. Needless to say I am going to try and keep what I got for now until she cools off about the airport developing in the basement.

Nice build so far Dr. E.
I think the Hyper Bipe is one of the ugliest planes ever designed though.

hiperbipe wing

Ok I'm back time to start the wing build it should go fast as its the same as the Jtec 26% pitts with just a few changes to mount to the fuselage of the hiperbipe and reshape the tips. If you look at the 3 views the hiperbipe wings look like upside down pitts wings?

Here is what the wing kit looks like with the building jigs a cool way to build.
I think JTEC/RADIOWAVE is writing a new chapter in our hobby on how kits are built. They are becoming simpler lighter and stronger than the stuff we use to build.

The red hiperbipe makes me home sick that pic is from Santa Paula CA thats where i did my first solo back in 1980 yep thats at lest 5 years ago.
