Dear modelers, in the middle of 2010 we had the honor to work in one of the best Russian models factory, which produced composite aircraft models - Europa PRO. Travel to Russia was not easy, because there own laws, which remains unchanged for over twenty years.

Most of us remember DOSAAF and good times in Soviet Union airfield when flying was free, and basically everyone that had wish could fly.


Travel destination was to building up relationships with the manufacturer to obtain a permit to manufacture the Europa PRO name models in Europe with a further passage to European markets because we do not have additional taxes and duties on exportation of goods to European Union countries.

The factory is located in the small town near Moscow – Orexovo/Zuev, with population of about 200 thousand people. Spent working week went as a day: a very nice communication, information rendering, and pleasant staff.

Finally, a permit to manufacture the Europa PRO name models in Europe was obtained. Models produced in Europe will have two additional letters of the LT at the end of the previous name; the full name of the airplane will be Europa PRO LT.

Next let's talk about a European version of the Europa PRO LT aircraft and its production process.

The new Europa PRO LT was designed by Great Russian aerobatic pilot, Sergey Danilov (Master of Sports, F3A Champion of Russia, since 1996 participated in the European and the World Championships) and produced in Europe using top quality German made epoxy resin and glass/carbon fiber.

This professional Europa PRO LT kit is the result of Sergey’s 20 years experience in F3A world and his research in best F3A performances. This innovative design combined with the extremely lightweight structure, the full composite fuselage, wings and stabs, give the Europa PRO LT an impressive precision and smoothness at any airspeed and flight condition.

The plane is a total novelty in the 2010 – 2011 F3A seasons: the new fuselage is wider; wing area lower; the stabilizer has now become larger.

Let’s briefly review the model production technology in Europe:

During installation of AXI 5325/18 motor I faced with a problem that's quite difficult to hard mount rear of AXI motors, what is critical for F3A planes. So I decided to create a universal hard rear support for all 53XX AXI motors.

The picture below shows the result:


Benefits:
- Carbon-fiber attraction, strength and lightness;
- Coated bearing resistant to extreme operating conditions and dust;
- Allows you to adjust the angle of inclination of the engine left and right;
- Allows you to use of lighter motor mount;
- For mounting you can use the standard AXI engine set screws;
- Polished aluminum sleeve.

The cowl, canopy, landing gear, wheel pants and tail wheel assembly are already installed. On fuselage, seams on top and bottom are filled and repainted.




Every Custom Series design is airbrushed on white base airplane in very thin layer, after it is clear coated, sanded and polished. On average there is about 1 – 1,5 % (20-30 grams) weight increase in comparison to mold painted airplane. Bottom of the wings and stabs will be also airbrushed according to your design.

The fuselage, wings, stabs, rudder, landing gears and other parts included in this kit are made of fiberglass and carbon fiber, the fibers of whose may cause eye, skin and respiratory tract irritation. Never blow into a part to remove fiberglass and carbon fiber dust, as the dust will blow back into your eyes. Always wear safety goggles or safety shield, a particle mask and rubber gloves when grinding, drilling and sanding this parts.
