Hey, You guys that are running DLE-55's. How are your engines doing? I just received my new one yesterday. This is the first DLE for me. Not that it would have any effect on the functioning, but when I took it out of the box, it had a casting defect in one fin, and another fin was bent. It also has a DLE carb. I thought they were using Walbro carbs?

I Can't help you there . I am running a cheap a$$ Hobby King DM55 on mine .

Mines running grate ! Starts first flick every time, bags of power can't fault it I Perrier it over my da 50

My carb is a walbro? My 170 has a dle carb and it runs grate also,

don't think you have got anything to worry about

I bought mine in Sept 2011 from Tower and it HAS a Walbro carb...I wonder why they changed?

Mine is also my first Chinese engine. So far I am pleased. It's smooth and it'll pull stumps. My LAMSUK 55 weighs 17 1/2lbs and it hauls it around like crazy. Only time will tell on durability. I also bought a DLE30 for the WWRC LamYak30. but it hasn't been run yet.

This is my first Chinese engine as well. Having had nothing but DA's, I have mixed feelings about it. I will however, keep an open mind...

after you fly that DLE55 i think you will like it.i use to have two DA50's after getting my first DLE55 i sold one of the DA's and bought another 55.
