I'm going to have to make a trip down to Columbia with all of these EF planes I seem to be collecting

I was getting loud vibration noise from the wheels, drilled out the wheels and put aliminum inserts in and glued foam in the tapered end of the wheel pants. much quieter for anyone that may have this problem

Also if your cowling is warm in the car and you take the plane up in freezing fog, it will crack your cowling .... in 5 places haha

Waiting on my 4 cell batteries to get here so that I can take this out for some fun. The power is going to be absolutely insane. I've tested it on a 3 cell and the power is pretty insane, even at the lower voltage. This was about as easy of a build as you can get.

Still waiting on batteries.... Would it be bad to fly this on a 3 cell pack that I have lying around, on the Torque 2814/820 with the 12x6e prop? I still haven't gotten my head around the electric motor, voltage, amp, etc stuff on these electrics...

it won't hurt anything... but won't get the best performance...
assuming that the pack has enough mAh to cover the amp draw....

I would say a min of about a 2200 with that prop...

with a 14x7 we suggest a min of a 2500mAh or so...

I have a couple 3S packs in the 2200mah range, just need to check the discharge rate to make sure they can handle the amp draw. Don't know if I can watch this plane sit in the garage much longer waiting on batteries from China.

Well, I am sure Chris would let you use one of his if you headed down to his field!

Yeah man, come on down! It's a long weekend and I will definitely let you use my batteries. It'll be fun!

Finally snuck away right before dark and got the maiden flight on the 3S battery. Only needed a few clicks of trim and it was flying great. Can't wait to get the 4S batteries this week and start having some real fun with it!

12/6 won't be quite enough.

I fly mine on a Torque 2814 and Airboss 45 ESC, with Thunder Power 3s 2260 30C packs. I use an APC 13/6.5E.

Extreme Flight Edge 540__First Flights #1 (7 min 4 sec)

Takes a little time, but don't stress out over it. Just run the recommended Torque motor and Airboss ESC on the recommended prop and you really don't need to know anything except how to take care of your batteries.
