Hello guys !! I´m building an Ultimate 46% H9 from a very goody friend, it´s going to have a DA150 but it has MTW Cannister with rear exhaust. I have seen some pics from Ultimates with cannisters and some weird headers, do you thing that is possible to instal the rear exhaust cannisters on this plane or we need to get some stock mufflers??

I have stock muffs on mine... I don't think that you can get regular cans in there, but if you did, they would probably have to be front dump due to the location of the lower wing tube

I have seen many with Rear exit canisters. DA-150 would be OK but 170 is even better.

Peter Goldsmith did an article on using pipes or cans in his Ultimate a few years ago. I don't remember where, but it might have been Model Aviation. It also would likely be on the Horizon website.

Years ago a friend Ron (Rocket Ron) had one of those and put cans in his but they were front dump cans, you could PM him and i'm sure he would help you.

Apparently it was more than a 'few' years ago. More like 8 years. LOL. |
