Mike... I sent you an email with my info... it's also on the evil website.

Jonas... thanks for the tip. What did the new power supply cost?

Tristan... you're doing very well... just stick with it and work on the basics. Glad to hear you got that Yak! Don't hesitate to ask to explain anything through the build. I'm happy to help.

Hey mike... well the fuse is done, wing & stab tubes in, anti rotation pin in, turtle deck... Everything you see in the pics. This is an un-modified fuse.

The only thing missing is some sheeting on the bottom, near the gear plate and the rest of the pipe tunnel, but if you were to run stock mufflers this is complete.

Check the pics...

Humm.... that's done already, but i could use some vinyl for my 260 rudder!

One area that isn't explained in depth is the hatch mouting procedure, many people ask about this. Below it is detailed out.

First picture, start by pushing a T pin from inside the fuse through the 6 mounting holes, try to center them the best you can.

Next, use a 1/8" drill to drill the holes from the outside.

The 3rd picture is the 6 hatch mouting brackets, 6/32 screws and plastic inserts. These are all in the hardware pack.

Drill the mounting bracket holes with an 11/32 drill bit.

Using a pair of pliers press the plastic inserts through the back of the mounting brackets.

Use CA and glue the insterts to the mounting bracket from the back side.

Next, tap the plastic instert from the side that is flush (the outside) using a 6/32 tap.

You'll need some wax paper to keep the glue from sticking the fuse. So, cut 6 pieces that are about 3" X 2". Cut a hole mid way though and about 1/2 an inch from the bottom.

Thread the 6/32 mouting screws from the outside of the fuse through the mouting holes. Thread the screw through the hole you cut in the wax paper (pic 2).

Thread the screw through the mounting bracket threaded insert. Make sure you thread the side of the bracket that has the insert flush, to the outside of the fuse. Fold the wax paper down.

Follow this process for all 6 hatch mounting brackets.

Continue with the instruction manual at this point to finish the hatch build.

Looks very good Matt. I would be interested in seeing your step by step of attaching the canopy if you are able to show it!

Hey Johnny... no problem. The canopy should be here next week. I'll do the step by step for that as well.

Thanks. It was macro the whole time... it's hard to drill and click off clean pics by yourself.

Do you have Jay's plane back? I think I've seen parts of it in some pics.

Actually, Jay's plane never left... his house flooded so I held on to it until it is refinished. He picked up the fuse last weekend.

BTW. the big yellow wings below are Phillip's 1/3 scale Balsa USA cub.
