And thanks for the advice, Pakratt -- There is a lot of expertise here, that's for sure. I already found the FG ground school. While I won't be doing point rolls just yet, I saw some cool things that I can try.

40%plane, have you been up to the West Palm field? That's where we fly at most of the time now, unless we are going out to Clewiston for the longer runway or to avoid the crowds. There are a number of guys at Dyer Park who do IMAC (our current club prez Phil and past-prez Brian). I couldn't even list the number of people who have helped me out and given me some genuine encouragement. It's a great club up here.

Hi Matt a/k/a Wild Thang! Yes, I am Bob Rembert's girl. That was me in the McD's making sure he would stop talkin' airplanes long enough to eat some breakfast. We are already making plans for Joe Nall 2010 -- except this time we are bringing stuff to fly! Does the FFAA have any events coming up? We are overdue for a road trip.

Hello Steph , we are having TC3D II on Oct. 3-4 , Barnstorming for Tots on Oct 10-11 , Youth Masters on Oct 17-18 , and are going to attend the Atl Huckfest if the waters recied or fly in the Ocala IMAC ..

you will be disappointed if you don't come and "Huck the Fest" in ATL! The water on the field will go away long before then and this one will send out the 2009 HF tour with a bang! The more the better!

Welcome! I remember waiting for the rain or for spots of sunshine flying down in South, FL. We used to just setup and then wait under the cover of the pitts for the rain to clear.


I used to fly at the field in Delray which was in Boca behind the water park. I have flown at Markham and also up at the dump by the VA in West Palm. Palm Beach Rc off of Atlantic Ave in Delray has a super nice field! Afternoons is when the IMAC peeps come out to play.

I flew my 41% out at Markham park but that place can get crazy!

As requested, Team Flat Out, here's my photo album. As it looks now, I will be able to add a couple pics (thank you, Flying Skunks and Wild Thang) from the TC3D next weekend: Road trip! Road trip! Smokin, perhaps if you talk up Huckfest enough, we will actually make it to Atlanta, too.

I included my version of PakRatt's trailer. It's my Saturn filled up with one 85cc Yak and one .60 size Stick. Thank goodness I've got an automatic transmission. Any other good pictures that I come across I'll put up with Nelly's on the RC Girls thread . . .

Hey AirborneSgt, how are the fields up in NC? One of the guys who gave me a lot of his time while I was learning to fly moved up that ways last year. South Florida was just too busy for him. I've been down to Mayhem Park a couple times . . . There's plenty to watch, but I have no desire to fly down there. Delray once to help with a combat meet, and once more to fly on that laser-leveled, tennis court resilient runway.

OK, back to reality.

Thats partially why I left south FL. Just not the same as it was ten years ago heck maybe even just five years ago. The few years I lived there again after my 1st time in the Army I saw two good flying fields close. Palm beach RC was actually the combination of my old field and another field in West Palm. There was also a field off of Loxahatchee road and 441 that closed.

We have a lot of nice fields in NC. When I was stationed at Ft. Bragg I flew at the Piedmont Aeromodelers :

With a lower population than FL and generally more country there are quite a few good fields here in the state.
