Eric,

Your Cub turned out great. I was following your build thread. I have a Carden still on the bench and a couple smaller projects to finish and then I plan to build the 1/3 scale Balsa USA J3. I hope it turns out as nice as your 1/4 scale.

Don't want to start anything but just because a cub has so much power it can hover it does not mean it can 3D. Mac Hodges hovers his B29 but does it 3D ? On the posted video I saw a cub that could torque roll because it had the power to allow it but I didn't see 3D flight. BTW I enjoyed it and Dave Sullivan did a great job with the plane, it looked like a lot of fun.

On a hammerhead, you are not flying while the wing is post stall.

3D flying =

Hi

My world models piper with 3W 140. I had a DA 100 and then changed it to a 3W 140 that I had as I wanted more Power to tow my 9 Meter Paritech Glider. It is overkill I know but have not had any problems and did not do any mods to the plane.
It torque rolls on 1/4 throttle with no problem.

Will retire it soon as we just ordered the Aeroworks piper.

Alex

I just think its fun to see what a plane can do. Weather it will 3D or not, it will sure be fun trying. Ordered my 1/4 Cub last night and found these floats on eBay, link below. Think I will give them a try. Also, Ive decided to go with the Mintor 33cc engine. Seems to be the lightest and most powerful in the 30cc class engine.

I am going for the scale look here with twins out of the cowl. I am a little concerned that I won't have enough power.
