throttle = 1
elevator =1 or 2 (Y if needed)
ailerons = 2
rudder = 1
battery = 1 or two ( Y into a, lets say rudder channel)

You should be good on channels I would run two batteries. But that is just me.

I'd buy the 7ch RX as well, even though you could get by with a 6ch...Sounds like you got a plan... You will enjoy that Aeromaster...very nice flying plane.

I just used y cables for the ailerons on my 30 cc ulti. it works fine. with ignition kill and choke servo i used 7 channels.

But the you can have different throws. Then again, if you understand bipes, different throws (top and bottom wing) are a good thing as long as they are in the right places in the right amounts.
