Re: Hi! from Manila

thanks kabayan!

maybe u can help me out.

m building my 1st gas airplane. it is from www.peakmodel.com ( an extra 260 with 26cc gas engine ).

70 inches wingspan and all up weight of only 8.8lbs.

wat glue do u use for the balsa? any special procedure? gas vibrates more so i'm thinking there's an extra effort to make the plane withstand the vibration.

I use epoxy on the the firewall and hinges. Just make sure your prop is balanced. It makes a difference. When you run you plane on the ground. Make sure you have the wings on. It absorbs alot of the vibration. Put CA on all the joints you can reach just as a safety precaution. Have fun with the plane.

yup. if you happen to go here, don't forget to ask about the island of boracay. It is a paradise with its white sand beaches.

Thanks for the invite. I was there 2 years ago after being away for 20 years. Things really changed alot. I felt like a tourist. Whats the biggest plane you can fly at your field.

Regards

Re: Hi! from Manila

capt bemboy flew his 50cc edge on our field. It is definitely shorter than baradas coz majority flies helis like myself. M jus starting out on fixed wing. As long as you know the characteristic of ur plane, u can land it on our field no problem
