Sequence Help??

Hey All,
I am planning on going to the Youth Masters this year, but there are two manuvers I can't figure out what they are.

Here is the link to the sequence http://www.joenall.com/joenall2/ymbasicpattern.html

These are the ones I can't figure out:
#3 would be one roll, right?
#5 45 deg. up line with a "two"?
#7 Just can't figure out

Thanks A Bunch,
Doug

Re: Sequence Help??

#3 would be one role, oppisite one role ( 2 roles)

#5 pull 45 upline, two point role, push exit upright ( 2point role = two half roles)

#7 (humpty bump) pull to vertical, pull half loop to vert downline, pull exit upright

hope this helps now go out and practice.........

Re: Sequence Help??

I'm no expert but #7 looks like a humpty bump, pull to vertical, then pull over the top then you have your downline, and then pull to level, kinda like a U shaped loop...I believe #5 is a 2 point roll and I think #3 is 2 rolls, one roll right, one roll left, I think.....http://www.mini-iac.com/Portals/57ad...imple_2005.pdf

this is an article on Aresti that I found, it should give you some insight....Good luck!!!!

Re: Sequence Help??

Let's see if I can help ya out some Doug.

1. Loop- nothing special here just keep it round and use rudder to keep from drifting in or out. start and exit altitude should be the same

2. Hammerhead with one full roll going up. Make sure to keep the roll centered the hammer pivot should not take up more space than 1/2 wingspan. The pull out does not have to be at same altitude but the pull out radius should match the vertical pull up.

3. Two opposing rolls on a horizontal line. Perform one roll, minimal hesitation one more roll opposite direction. Hesitation should be close to center just for presentation's sake.

4. Reverse sharks tooth, pull to the 45 and establish the line, 1/2 roll re- establish the line, pull vertical establish the line, pull level.

5. Two point roll on a 45 degree line. Pull to the 45 and establish a line. 1/2 roll, very short hesitation another 1/2 roll in the same direction and establish the line, push to level flight. Make sure the 1/2 rolls are centered on the 45.

6. Split ess, 1/2 roll, very short hesitation just enough for the judges to see you have stopped rolling. Pull 1/2 loop.

7. Humpty bump, pull vertical establish line, pull over the top tighter radius as a loop, establish a downline pull to hrizontal flight. Entry and exit radius should be the same

8. Immelman, Pull a 1/2 loop followed by a 1/2 roll at the top. Don't roll too late usually at about 170 degrees of the 180 degree loop.

Hope this helps.

Shawn

Yeah, it's nice to have people who now this stuff. If I was left to figure it out myself, who knows what kind of manuvers I would end up with. LOL
