Got the 42% Edge maiden the other day. Great plane and found a used Red Aero Pilot that really tops the finish off. Now to get busy with the graphics. Kirby did a layout for me and hopefully in a week or two, will call him to finalize and finish this plane off.
Are you going to Ocala next weekend? If so, I think we are coming up there.

If the date is April 21 I am at a float fly which is being held on the east side of Bradenton for the day. What is going on at the Ocala field?

Like Sherm said, anyone out there that wants some help getting things going off floats just needs to show up at the lake and between Rob, Matt, Steve and myself, we will help out. A lot of guys are reluctant to go for it since it is a little different, but no worries!! just concentrate on a good running engine and 90% of the grief is side stepped. Bring it on!

Sherman, that thing is awesome, great pics, we have a guy here in Jax with a 1/3 BUSA Cub that he's putting on floats. We will have to bring it down and do some pictures and video.

Komrom, Underdog, and Sherman89, I can hardly wait to shoot some elevated video of these planes.

Wow what an amazing bunch of airplanes in this thread! I thought my 1/3 World models Super Cub was big- Jeebus! you guys are in a whole 'nother league! I want some floats for my big Cub, but the price tag keeps me away. So I did what I could with what I had... Still a ton of fun to fly, even if the lake was still slightly frozen... I forgot to plug the cooling hole in the bottom of the fuse, and some water got into my elevator servo connector... Made for a VERY cold retrieval. It's all fixed, is much more water resistant, and ready for round 2.

Great idea, I would be glad to help out-----the 1/3 balsa usa cub makes a great float plane-----maybe we can find a lake with a sandy beach between us so you do not have so far to travel. I have the rescue boat should we need one----"dead motor only of course". Do you know if it is his first float plane?

Wow, a Yak on floats----neatttt. I will be in C Springs next month -----my daughter is graduating from the Air Force Academy.

I will have to check with the owner Mr Komro----maybe Matt can answer that----it could have something along the same reason that girls go for horses----maybe your girl could give us a little insight into that theory.
