Another Seiko servo question
Someone mentioned to me that I should stick to a 2 cell since some people had issues with a 3 cell cause feedback to the receiver? maybe something going wrong with the servo messing up the receiver? I have read about the servo cooling issue/centering and was just wondering if there was something I should safe guard against. I would think with a power system that isolates the receiver this would never happen correct? Thanks

2 cell is too slow. 3 cell is faster. Kinda depends on what your flying mode is. for 3D it is Ok. BUt response will be slower and not as much power. Doesnt matter about centering ability 2 cell or 3 cell it just doesnt hold center very well.

my plan was for 3 cell because i know thats how u get the performance I need for hard 3d

hey guys I got my seiko and I was wondering to save weight can I just do away with the bottom part of the servo. Everything attaches to the top section. I would have to cut cooling holes in the bottom anyway, the only down fall would be crash damage but I am not worried about that. Thoughts and opinions?

Ya know I almost did that - just leave the bottom off thing.
But I hesitated since I didnt want anything fouling the gears in case a screw or something came lose form inside the plane. Ronster |

Thanks and FYI it saves 2 oz of weight since the servo itself is 10.2 oz not much but its much closer to two 8711s that way.
