So what would have happened if you would have pulled the wheels up? Also on the p-51 you just gently set it down on the scoop you should never touch the stack or plug... I know it's more than monokote when it drags down the pavement but to each his own I guess

I got by super cheap with the one wheel landing. It scuffed or wore through just a bit of covering on the wingtip and that was it. Didn't even break the prop!

My friends have war bird plane. So i decided to get a Second World War RC Plane and search on internet. So F6F Hellcat 4 Channel RC Airplane. This is possible through a unique design of the folding wings with original locking mechanism, as in the real aircraft. You can see it and learn more about it here

Odds are greater that that "scoop" would be sheared right off. I'd take a little wingtip damage over my prop, muffler, entire bottom fuse, cowl and more damage.

To each there own though. Something to think about sitautions like this is what would YOU personnally rather repair. There is going to be some damage.

I'm happy with the minimal damage - finally found the pictures. The one that slid in on the belly looked like way more work to make nice again. Think of setting it on a running belt sander for a few seconds. This was on asphalt... maybe grass would be much nicer.
Note - the first photo is on grass after I picked it off of the asphalt runway and set it over in the pits.

Kansas Tornado will be shipped to the States next week. Graham is taking Kansas Tornado to Barkston Warbirds in UK this weekend and then will pack it up. Here are some updated photos.

Thank Steve, just wanted a very detailed P47 and Graham (tigermodels) was my first choice for this build.

No real build thread for this one, but you should check out Graham's Facebook page:

and here is a photo from yesterday's warbirds event.
