we had to use PT33x12 to reduce the noise of prop. 6000rpm on PT 33x12 prop - zdz180 on jmb cans. ZDZ180 is real monster - do not need tunned pipes to have insane power.

Hello
Do you have pics about how to secure upper and lower cowl?
Thanks a lot.
Best regards.

Nice, but I'm not sure I agree with they way they split it? The benefits (at least to me) of a split cowl is the ability to gain access to the entire engine (top and bottom) without having to remove the spinner and prop.....and of course re-torquing the prop bolts when installing it.

I'd rather have it split all the way around the horizontal joint, like the full scale. That's how I'm going to do my 35%.

Hi Earle

this was mainly done for the 4 cylinder engines to help with the installation of the more complex baffling

Hi Daniel !

Thank you very much , and happy Hanukah to you and your family my friend!

This airplane going to be mainly for freestyle , I will compete in some local IMAC events , but the 2" arms stays..

Thanks for the kind words, hope to get it fine tune soon so I can enjoy it !

Hello,

My 41% arrived today - minus the wings. Pick up wings tomorrow.
Came with both spinner and fuel tank tray.
Debating whether to use the DA I already have or new ZDZ-180.
Several questions please.

1. I'm not a competitor or 3D'er. Are 1.5" servo arms enough for effective throw ?????
2. What is a good starting c/g for this plane ? Should it balance at the wing tube ?????
3. Is the right thrust built into the firewall enough - or - should I add more ?????
4. Are 2 - regular JR 8711's enought for the rudder - will use the 4.5" width holes on the bellcrank ????

Thanks - Jaketab
