awesome, good old fashion high G torture! simple and work.

any other more delicated way of killing a plane like knife edge spin combine with other high G maneuver? I have never seen one broke from knife edge spin yet although people said it create lot of stress on the fuseluge.

Most GS planes have full length longerons along the bottom which is under tension in a negative G manuever, so I think most GS plane are a little stronger in the negative loading direction.

For positive loads, the weak point is usually at the fuse right at the aft end of the canopy ( I broke one in half there. The resulting parabolic trajectory into the ground was not a pretty sight).

If plane is still not broken, go back and repeat steps 1,2, & 3

It wouldn't crash into the ground. The pieces would rain down though.

After 5 years of high G manuvers I had the left wing explode on a 50cc Aero-Works Yak made a knife edge pass Snapped it back to knife edge sounded like a truck tire exploding Here is a photo 3 flights before it happened. I blame it on Airframe fatigue. Plane had many many hrs on it. I did manage to fly it to the ground in knife edge. Most all the damage was to the Airframe. a local photographer got the trip to earth in 3 or 4 photo's

i had a 71 slick with dle 30 break in mid air. snapped with wing tube in 3 pieces both breaks flush with the fuse. Now i was at about 1/4 throttle doing a nasty blender. it was pretty wicked to see it happen, sad loosing a good plane that way.

I tried to break an older style 2.6 compy 330L with no success .
Full speed wall on a shallow dive and no joy , also full speed
blender pos and neg and the plane just kept chugging along .
The Blade style 2.6 compy's are built like tanks and I have never
seen one broken in the air .

The newer 2.6 compy 260 is another matter all together .
I saw one sheer a wing in half at the nationals doing a neg snap
on a 45 deg down line . I will qualify that with , it was done by one
of the toughest 3D pilots in the world and this was his primary plane
at the time .

A mate broke a no brand china ARF 80 inch extra into THREE pieces in the air .
Engine and fire wall one way , wing and saddle took off like a leaf and the back
end went the other direction . It happed after a couple of very hard landings
when he decided to learn how to do a blender . Man it was the best smash ever .

Stu

Strap a football to it and do some low 3D at an NFL game.

By the way, what is a 0 of 8?
