JR Match Box w/Futaba Radio-Receiver

Question, I just picked up a 40% Carden Edge and the guy that owned it before me left the Hitec digital and JR servoes in it, he was also using a JR Match box system. My question is can I use my Futaba radio/ receiver and still be able to utilize the Match Box system. I hope that I can still use it, has anyone used this type of set-up. Thanks
Shawn Matthew

I would definitely check the system out before flying it. I had a Futaba set up and it did not like the matchbox being there. With the matchbox in, I had maybe 5' of range check and with it out all was fine. It was just one of those things where for some reason it wouldn't work in my set up.

Never had a problem with matchboxes and different brand servos and receivers.

Allan,
Did you take out the Matchbox to eliminate your problem and then put it back in to duplicate the problem again? I've never heard of a Matchbox affecting range before. I've set them up on just about every brand of radio made with no problems. Not saying it couldn't..... I guess anything is possible.

Yes.
The plane was flown for years on y's on the rudder set up. They were manually set up but I didn't like that for obvious reasons. Since the servos were JR I got the MB to set things right. Maybe it was just the individual MB I had that was bad. I'm not saying it won't work for for others, I'm just saying it didn't work in my application. With it in, it wouldn't work. With it out, all was fine. Just suggesting you check the system any time you put anything new in the mix.
