THANKS for the music warning....that's somewhat IRRITATING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Kinda neat spot though seeing self launched sailplanes. This view is about 1/2 mile as the crow flies (maybe 3 by road) from our house in WV. Years ago watched a guy try to launch a hang glider, but he didn't get enough airspeed from the guardrail at the side of the road to clear the trees below the overlook. Other than a few scrapes he was fine. Unfortunately I didn't have a camera along ![]() I used to fly my Pitts down on the Potomac River you see in the pic and then come ripping up across the overlook...inverted of course ![]() Earle |

Hey you were right. KISS. Countersunk thru the plate to a ball link. I'll still need the plates but I can make them a lot smaller and do not need to go the the next rib. One part for the Al. horn and done. Got one roughed out. |

Picked the perfect time to check on the thread again. Yep that's what I meant. I was wondering if your were going for how it's done on the full scale or not.

Just checking in with you and "THE PROJECT"...... That little item we talked about in our PM is ready to pick up. I'll be sending them shortly. Enjoyed the glider video...... That tune is now stuck in my head as I try to go to bed. WT ![]()

I ordered the "hardware" for this aireplane. It's all 10-32 based. Right left turnbuckle stuff.
Never have done something this size. So I hope it's a good match. http://www.mcmaster.com/?orderview=new# |

Karl,
Looking good Sir! If McMaster Carr does not have it...then it must be custom made...those guys have a huge selection! Great progress Karl!! ![]() It won't be long now! Have a great weekend! Cheers, Larry |

Here's the stuff. The 3 long assemblies are the 2 aileron servos to horn and the other is the rudder servo to rudder horn. 2 of the short ones will get split into 2 and a tube extension to make the slave struts between the upper and lower aileron. The other short one will be for the elevator servo to the elevator horn. Not sure but I might use the clevis links or the ball link to connect to the control horns. Have a good weekend too Larry!
