Hello Guys.
I'm sorry, my wife has been under the weather here lately. We've not been able to work on the profile. Hopefully I can get back on it soon.

Phil

I think I may! But like I said, I think it's a week or two away at this point.

Phil,Bam, your going to realy like this plane.just got the first flight on mine and it flies great,i haven't found any bad tendencies at all.it's also the slowest floaty flying plane i ever flown.
i was realy impress the way it hovers, stubid easy, very little imput on the sticks,it just sat there.knife edge flew with just a touch of pull to canopy, but my CG is a little tail heavy so that could be the reason.haven't tried any knife edge loops yet, might try that today.
looking forward to your guy's build.

Yep, we're starting to get excited about it. Last night we put the wings on for the first time. I'll post a few more pics here in a bit

Here we go...
Brian came over, and we spent a few hours on the plane. The wings still need sheeting on the bottoms, a few cap strips are yet to be installed and a couple other minor things, but it's looking like an airplane now for sure...

Pic 1- Checking the fit of the wing tube receiver & ply rings.
Pic 2- More trial fitting of receiver & rings.
Pic 3- Trial fitting of the aft anti-rotation pin.
Pic4- The proud papa. Wings on for the first time.
Pic 5- Aft wing bolt installation. We glued 3/32" ply under both sides of each wing bolt to prevent the head & wing-
nut from digging into the balsa.
Pic 6- Opposite side view, showing wing nut and ply square.
Pic 7- Another view of wing bolt.

Taking advice from others here, we're probably going to cut out the fuse to sorta/kinda match the cutout in the root rib you see here. In this fuse cutout, we will mount the flight pack batteries and the receiver. I suspect we'll put them on a tray of some sort. I can tell you guys, that Don Apostolico (Don's Hobbies) would have a heart attack if he saw the electrical set-up I'm considering. In his opinion, all electrical components should have at least a 6" separation from one another... We're still discussing switch location. I have 3 JR heavy duty charge switches that I would like to use if possible. May have already said, but I ended up buying two, LiFE 1100's to use as flight packs. At Stephen Washington's suggestion, I'll use a 4.8V NiMH pack on the ignition.
