I sure would like to see an analog throttle trim. Would be nice if that was a changeable item like the other switches.

Hate analog throttle trims. No good use for it.

Sorry, don't agree about "no use for it". I love my analog throttle trim. However, it wouldn't be a deal breaker if I were to get into a radio of this level. I would just "suck it up" and deal with it. It kinda makes me giggle actually, JR introduces a radio with essentially a Samsung Galaxy S3 stuffed in it, and somebody says..."uggh, throttle trim". Just not that big a deal when all the other cards are on the table.

The nice gentleman at JR booth took it out of the case to let us play with it. Pretty sweet.

Looks like Japanese lessons required! Hope they can price this in the 2 range.

I had it in my hands today. Len told me this is very close to if not the final hardware revision, but he wasn't sure on where the software was currently.

The feel is very nice. Ergos are good. The gimbals are amazing. The best descriptor I can think of is fluid. The touch screen is very clear and easy to read (not that I understood it since it's in Japanese), and I THINK it's a capacitive and not resistive screen which is great! It has a pretty solid build, and I'd compare it to say a 12X in weight. You're going to want to use a neck strap for sure. The power switch is a flush fitted and depressed to click arrangement. You won't likely turn this off by mistake when reaching for trims. There are switches everywhere including a couple on the back easily reached by fingers, as well as a couple mounted on the bottom of the sticks (yes.. the bottom). These seem most easily reached by a thumb flyer IMO.

Interesting note.. it has Wi-Fi built in, so software/firmware updates can be handled via the internet with no cables or SD cards necessary.

Nobody at JR Americas even knows what the price might be, so they don't want to speculate on it. That'll come in the near future I'm told.

Nice report Shaker, thanks.

Interesting that the finish in the print ad looks flat or brushed metal, but in the pics looks like cheap plastic. How did it look in person?

Plastic does not always equal cheap. I honestly don't remember about the upper surfaces. The lower surfaces around the touch screen are plastic I think. Regardless, it feels very solid, and high quality.

I would surmise that it will be a $3,000 to $4,000 dollar US transmitter. I would guess that if you had to ask, you couldn't afford the receiver either.

jerry_hailey, I would simply use a AUX channels and mix it over to the throttle and use it for one of the throttle trim channels. With 28 channels it ought to be no big deal.
