After break-in.....yup. I have one of each. Both badass critters but the EVO pulls just that much harder on the top end.

Do you know what the actual difference is between the 2? They advertise same displacement so where is the extra 2hp coming from?

^ slightly tighter piston tolerances and higher compression ratio which leads to more torque.

Testing & general consensus has shown for all-around power:
GP 123 v2 > DA 120 > DLE 120 > EME 120 > 3W 110CS > DLE 111 > DA 100

GP 123 v2 or MVVS 116 > DA 120 > DLE 120 > EME 120 > 3W 110CS > DLE 111 > DA 100

Based on user accounts and prop data.

I believe this to be fact as well. Proof is in the pudding as they say, You should see how the 123 flys my 36 lb cub on floats.

Is this incorrect? Curious.

I haven't run any of them, but the prop data I've seen put the 3W right along side the DA/GP/MVVS.

Spent a bunch of time trying to research the strongest 120cc class engine and go figure ended up ordering a middle of the pack ZDZ 112.

From my experience, most 3W's have the very good low end torque. The problem is thathere in the states these engines seem to have reliability issues and theservice does not seem to be at the top of the class either.

Most of my 3W issues were ignition related (both 110 and 106). Milton got me hooked up with RCExl ignitions and issue free ever since. My 110 will swing a 28x10 Mejzlik to within 100 rpms of my 123. My 110 has way better low end and midrange, but the 123 beats it as far as vibration, weight, and top end.

Ya I hear what you're saying. When I threw the "GP 123 v2 > DA 120 > DLE 120 > EME 120 > 3W 110CS > DLE 111 > DA 100" list together above, it's just what I've seen in real world findings here. The reason I said on user accounts and prop data is because peak rpm is only 1/2 the story. Low end torque also has to be factored in which is hard to quantify without dyno graphs or swinging "lots of meat" so to speak. But I did rate the DLE-120 & EME-120 above the 110CS because all around I didn't find the 110CS to be ahead of any of the 120's. It will greatly outswing any of the 115cc and lower engines, but at the end of the day, there's just no replacement for displacement.

I left the MVVS 116 off because we had so much trouble with that engine, and at the end of the day only found it to be a torquer, and not much of an RPM monster, which is fine, but just was a lot of hassle at the end of the day, and because of its massive weight penalty over the other engines in this class, it wasn't a great XA choice. Very nicely built engine though!

Tbrum's numbers had the 3W spinning a Mej 29x10s at 6490 on RE2s...so that's well into 120cc territory.
