Hangar 9 33% Piper Pawnee, RDRC 2011 Fly For Tots Grand PRIZE!

The 2011 RDRC Fly-For-Tots is September 16,17,18!

This year the sponsors have stepped up again with Horizon Hobby donating their soon to be released, Giant 33% Piper Pawnee, for the GRAND PRIZE!

The last few years we have done the "win it-fuel it-fly it" aerobatic planes, for this year will be the 130" Pawnee, still will be "Win it - Fuel it - Fly it!"

Stay tuned as I'll be starting the build today.

We'll have this very cool ready to fly Grand Prize on display at Fly for Tots same as years before. ANYONE can get a chance at winning this prize, along with many MANY other fabulous items. We're giving away Jets,GS ARF. electrics, RC products and more. Just go to www.flyfortots.com for more info.

matt, while your putting this together, can you go ahead and set the thrust as close as possible, lock tite all the bolts, and do some radio set up.. I like to just take off and fly and not have to worry about all the "set up" things........ THANKS BUDDY

Sorry to say, but I already have a spare set of "Pilot: Jeanette Hibpshman" graphics to put on the canopy. It's a done deal.

Small point, but it's Hangar 9, not Hanger 9.

Thanks to HH for the very cool prize.

I have a buch of pictures to load... first impressions are... this thing is BIG... it's like a truck, and Hangar 9 did an outstanding job on this plane!

The last giant ARF I put together was the Beast 100, and I'll say that this thing is right in line with the quality and how everything goes together. Unreal.

The landing gear is really great... a few years ago, I finished a Balsa USA 1/3 scale Piper cub for a customer. The landing gear was really scale, and I had to solder and weld the whole thing together. The gear on this is just as scale and is so simple to put on the plane. Very good.

The wing struts are aluminum, and look great.

This plane would be an easy plane to really scale out into something you could get started in scale contests with.
