Good plane for 3300 6s packs
Alright, flew for the first time this weekend in winds 20kph gusting to 30kph with a twisted hobbies foamy. First real flight ever with a plane outside. (Not counting one flight in a gym with a 3channel trainer 2weeks ago for about 3 minutes).
1 minute of full throttle against the wind to go 40' and 2 second with to get back.... The gusts were so sudden you could see the wing bend.... Then corrections to keep it flat.... Kind of fun! So I have some 40" park zone foamies which are fun but I like bigger stuff and have some 3300 6s batteries I could use in a plane. Is there a good sized plane that would take that sized battery? Something fun. |

EF 60" Anything.
Don't dwell over your decision, just go for it! |

+100 on the EF 60" stuff--love my 60" Laser--4 flights yesterday Also had the 60" Extra a couple years ago, putting over 150 flights on it before I dumb-thumbed it. Great plane also--they will handle a bit of wind easily.

I also go without, but it is up to you... these planes certainly will not notice the additional weight, but they are a lot more stable than smaller planes, as such many pilots find them unnecessary.

they maybe stable but they are very lite and i love a gyro in them. i found a $12 3 axis rate gyro that works great. i have them in all my park flyers up to 60". even my 73" laser has gyros now. its always windy around here and it just lets me relax and have fun. and NO they dont make my planes fly easier. they just buffer the wind

I live in the windy desert and I don't use the gyro on any of my EF airplanes including the 60". They do handle the wind well, but you feel like you would feel more comfortable with it then by all means go for it, it surely wont hurt!!
