I am skipping Sportsman. It was pretty easy so I'm doing Intermediate and if I do well enough at Molalla, I might get to participate in the Sunday Freestyle.
This could be a bad idea considering I'm flying a 60" Extra, but there are less people in Intermediate, some people have been in Sportsman for years (they seem to collect there lol), and my plane actually flies IMAC amazingly well, even in some wind...

Justin, you might want to go right on to advanced. I think that'll get you into the freestyle.



I agree - wheel pants are needed for the right visual appeal.

I thought of it, but if I do that I won't ever be able to be in a lower class, plus it's pretty challenging. I might end up trying it anyway...

Or you might be able to submit a video, or get Grant to watch your freestyle, and maybe if all the invite positions aren't taken you might be able to get one... then you won't have to fly in a higher class if you don't feel ready for it.

I don't want to but I have to. Extra 330 turn key less receivers. DA150 back from DA last summer. I would like to get 4K for it but all reasonable offers will be considered. Needs a little TLC to paint and cuffs but flies awsome. Unlimited NW winner long time ago. but my thumbs don't perform like that.

Sounds like the smackster is a little scared!

Personally I would never move up and skip a class to be in freestyle. I think you are gonna miss some of the fundamentals of iMac, but hey what do I know. Sounds like you are bringing your "A" game though. Good luck.

That might work. I'm just going to stick with intermediate and hope for the best.

I see what you mean. I had the whole Sportsman sequence memorized and I did fly it, but I decided to move to Intermediate, not just because I want to freestyle.
