Looking IMAC pilots in FL panhandle

Hello,

I am 99% for sure moving to Ft Walton Beach, Florida early next year and I'm looking to contact any IMAC pilots in the Florida panhandle area.

Right now I'm a SW region pilot and hope I can continue on with IMAC after the move. I know there are a lot of great contests within reach of FWB, but I'm looking for fellas to practice with. Not that it probably matters but I'll be Advanced next year.

So... who's out there?

Dave

Check out the contest listing for Pensacola, Fl. and talk to Ron Bullard, the CD. He may be able to put you in touch with other IMAC'rs in the PH. As for just north of there, we have a small but fanatical IMAC'n bunch in the Montgomery / Prattville, Al. area and would welcome you up to fly with us anytime.

Dude I would be more than happy to have you come fly with us. I need someone to get me buckled down. I take off and start a sequence and end up 3d'ing for the next 12 minutes as soon as I botch a maneuver. There are several giant scalers in the area that fly together regularly that are within an hour of FWB. There several fields to fly at also. The Navy lets us use the OLF's on the weekends and weekdays when they are done for the day and I have 2 kickass cropdusters strips that I fly at.

Sounds great!!! I'm liking the response I'm getting from that area. And to think I was worried I'd never fly IMAC again (well, I wasn't really worried).

I'll see what I can do! I have only flown one contest and I flew basic. I only got to fly two flights due to engine trouble so I didn't finish. I plan on flying in the P-cola IMAC this june though. It's just so hard to fly without throwing down some torque rolls and some good ol' in your face hovering though lol.

I fly basic, but I might be ready to take on sportsman. its been hard to go to contests other than the Pcola cuz of work and TDY... I would like to do Prattville and jacksonville, just not sure if my work load would allow it....

Looks like we are looking for a house in Navarre. Ronbo, that's your town. Where is the closest field?

I have just moved to Mobile myself. It looks like I'll be doing most of my practicing at a field near Daphne which may not be too far from you either. There are several others that fly there now which are thinking about trying IMAC next year also. I'll be encouraging them all winter. I flew Sportsman this year and will be moving up next year. Let me know if you would like to come over and fly with us.

Dave, I don't know how far you want to drive, but I'm told that this is one of the best RC sites in the south: http://www.nfmi.org/field.php?loc=fritz

I never got a chance to visit when I was there, but I hope to next time I'm down there...
It should be 45 minutes to an hour away from you.
