Hey guys, I know there has been some discussion about the upcoming release of the new Mintor 22cc engine, but I think it deserves its own thread.
The engine will be released in a couple of weeks, and the official distributor in the USA is Top Dawg Aviation. The introductory price for the engine in the US has been set at $248 (not including shipping).


Here are some specs:

Weight (Engine ) = 655 grams
ignition unit = 100 grams
Barrel Weight = 63 grams
Bore = 34mm
Stroke = 25 mm
Recommended propeller = MenzS 17x6 (8700 to 8800 rpm with standard barrel)

I guess these engine sizes are known to be loud as hell. They all have that annoying tone..

there is a big diference between a XYZ 20 ($240) and a Zenoah 20 ($340)....
I expect $275 for the Mintor 22cc, no less!

I'm sure he was referring to the DLE 20 @ $270.00. My guess would be the Mintor 22 will come in at $275.00.

In case you guys didn't notice the quotation marks I was simply repeating what was announced by Top Dawg Aviation a couple of days ago. I have no idea what the pricing is going to be nor what engines they are referring to; the only one that come to mind is the DLE20, but that's just pure speculation at this time.

We will announce pricing this evening for the Mintor 22.
All I can say is this little engine is hot!!! And so is the price!

That's great news! When are you going to start taking per-orders? Also, is there going to be a special introductory price on the first batch?

We will not be providing any sale prices on the 22 since the introductory pricing is so low on such a high quality engine. We will have more info on Topdawgaviation.com as soon as we receive more from Mintor, so please check our website often for updates. If Mintor is still on schedule we expect to have a shipment at our warehouse by the end of March, first of April. We will be opening up pre-orders for this engine on March 17th. Pricing from the North Americsn distributor Top Dawg Aviation LLC will be $248.00 + shipping.

"introductory pricing $248" so it will be more expensive later ?

The introductory price of the Mintor 22 is a reasonable at $20 less than the known competition. The product life cycle begins with a lower than competitive price to break into the market. It reports to outperform the DLE, but does not have the reputation. The Mintor 22 will have sufficient demand at this price to further product production and development. The modest increase in price after introduction is a product of an increase in reputation and increased demand. I am impressed with the pricing chosen. Good job Dennis.

Thats in line with the introductory pricing over here too.
