Re: Super Tigre G-2300
Yep,
These motors are a little touchy to set up the low end. Once you get it set right though, they have a ton of power. BTW: Yes they are a 1.40 2-stroke, very good power at a very good price, ya' gotta' love that!!! |

Re: Super Tigre G-2300
Guys, ive got a 72" extra 330 (Quick World Wide kit) and i have a super tigre 2500 fitted to mine (25cc). I am running a 20x8 Bolly wooden prop. It loads the motor a little but runs fine, hovers no worries and doesnt use much fuel. I wouldnt mind trying a 20x6 wooden prop for it for hovering (ive also got an 18x10 and a 19x6 bolly carbon prop that i will test).
I had to add some tail struts cause i broke half the tail off on the first real 3D flight i had with it, i think it was the fast knife edge spin that broke it. I'll have to weigh it but it should be somewhere around 10 pounds in guessing, it hovers fine and will pull out of the hover on full power. |

Re: Super Tigre G-2300
Very nice looking plane Trent!
I've got my ST-2300 in a Top Flite T-34 Mentor. It should be ready to maiden in April sometime. It's obviusly not a 3D plane, I reserve that kind of flight for my other planes |

How's Texas? It's my second favorite state next to Michigan. I've spent a bunch of time down around San Antonio, Beeville, Pearsall, Choke Canyon & Uvalde. How far are you from there? I was just talking to Don Schulte, said he'd just talked to you and really liked your new "job"....if it can be called a "job". Too cool. Say, you have the same email addy? Did you get a copy of the newsletter a week or so ago. Got a couple planes in there I just picked up and looking for some motors, etc. Give me a shout when you get some time. Re: Super Tigre G-2300
I just got a G2300 from Tower Hobbies.
They gave a coupon code for $30.00 off of a $149.00 or more order. The G2300 was $149.00, so with the free shipping............... $119.00 @ the door. |
