I just buy it and use it. She dont care what i spend .I never understood the having to ok things with the wife. My wife doesnt have to ok anything with me either though.I hope you get to get your new things though.

I have my own hobby budget. She doesn't care as long as I don't hit the house I'd budget. So I usually get what want/need. Big items I have to save for though.

I keep my extra stuff at the office and when getting new I pay cash then remove the existing plane from the garage and tell her I sold it.

Don't hide it... That just creates more trouble.

As long as you are not spending more than you can afford and she has the option to buy herself "toys" (jewelry, shoes... whatever) of equal cost, there shouldn't be an issue.
