I don't have my radio in front of me right now... I only remember 4 aileron servo in the menu... and in the QQ edition I noticed 6, will this be an available update to all of us normal dx-18 users?

There are quite a few programming differences in this radio based on what I have read and been told. It has features not available in the normal DX18 like I have now. The price really is a good deal if you do the math for the added cost of the 12 channel receiver, 8 channel expander, carry case, light, etc. Plus all of it looks special. I like it.

I like it too.. but I also like my brand new DX-18 and don't need another radio anytime soon. If only 2000 of them are made does that mean that only 2000 Horizon customers can have native 6 aileron servos? 3 throttle trim settings for turbines? etc... all the stuff we don't have now. Don't get me wrong, I love my 18 and it's very powerfull in what all it can do, but if more is available...

Ya, didnt tickle my fancy... with a limited number being made, the software support will be back burner... they will by nature update the mass majority first, before updating the few.

Its neat, dont get me wrong, but I am quite happy with my DX18.

I just received my DX18. Are you kidding me! I would have preferred the upgraded programming options.

Dumb luck. I hope they update the original...

If it's a software upgrade, has anyone asked if it will be eventually available for download to upgrade current systems? Friend of mine just got one of these DX18's and I am impressed. I'll have one after my "old" JR's wear out.

That would be sweet if it was available to us as a software upgrade. Although, I must say I wouldnt mind the special case, hat, etc that you get with the QQ version. But I wouldnt never pay $1200 for all that and the DX18. I am very happy with my DX18, but do hope there is an upgrade coming.

Looks like no go on the upgrade to programming hence the "exclusive programming" in the ad ?

Lets start a campaign asking for the upgraded software.
Here and on other forums. If enough customers lean on them Maybe they will release it .
A little while after the QQ has been out......Have to be fair about it

I'd be willing to pay a reasonable fee for it.

I think Quique Somenzini is an awesome pilot designer etc.. but they could have kept the name off the transmitter, as they did it. A signature is cool, but the way its done on the transmitter, I'd rather see my own name there

That and this move only like what 5-6 months after the release of the original?
