The brackets on the wings are exactly the same on the left wing as on the right wing. The fuse mounting holes look to be positioned the same as well.

it must just be differences in the strut mounting holes in the wing brackets along with differences in struts and mounting holes in the struts that messed me up.

Thanks for the help. I'll have it fixed up on Monday when I get back to work and can make that little aluminum piece.

Hello! The supplied Chinese springs are not the best..... but can be made to work. Here is what I did with mine.

Main gear is o-rings, tail wheel is stock springs.

I did find out that you can screw the wheel axle set screw in about twice before the landing gear metal won't hold threads anymore. I drilled it and the wheel axle and put a pin through to hold it. I dont like losing a wheel. It seems to always happen right at takeoff...

Maiden was about as perfect as you can get. It was a little breezy but didn't seem to affect it much.

Power was good. Plane flew great. It seemed a little nose heavy as it would drop the nose when inverted so I might move my motor back a little bit. I used 2.75" standoffs so I might shorten them a little before I drill the cowl. So that means I have several more flights I need to get in before I finish it up with the cowl.

I mostly fly 3D planes so this is a bit different for me but it flies great and looks great in the air.

Video is most of the maiden. I had to take out some up elevator trim so that's why it jumped off the ground so quickly on take off. Otherwise I would have let it roll a bit longer with the tail up...
Timer was set to 6 minutes and when I landed I checked the battery voltage and it was a little over 3.8v/cell.

2" is just about right for motor standoff with 10s and a power 160.

Inverted is almost hands off. Just slight down elevator to hold it level.

Knife edge is going to require some up elevator and some left aileron. I assume this is normal.

I've got my timer set for 9 minutes now and my batteries come down with 30% juice left according to the PL8. I'm putting back about 3000 mA into the 5000 mA packs.

The red and white looks awesome in the air. I am so glad I got that color. This is a great flying cub.

My landing gear is folding up on me though. I had some o-rings on it but apparently they aren't strong enough. I put some zip ties on it today to keep them from folding up again today. What is everyone using?

I turned my own motor standoffs out of 6061 aluminum.

I use 3 o-rings per side and replace them all the time.

O-rings are not suited for the gear so I'm gonna' get some nice springs to replace them with.

I heard some guys are using rubber bands too.

Hello Guys,
Do you think the MKS DS 1210 servo has power enough for this plane? I know it has 138oz of torque with 6V.

I'm using Hitec HS985MG servos. 170 oz at 6v and it is more than adequate.

If you are going with 30cc power and scale flying it is probably ok.
