took out the platform for the power box and used 1/2" square wood stock and mounted the powerbox to that then hard mounted the ignition battery and smoke pump to the fuse sides and mounted the the other two batteries to the pull pull braket, and i lightened the fuel and smoke tank platform. Its at least a pound lighter, and it flies like it.

the one and only flight I have on mine seems to do well with justone servo, I will know more after a few more test flights to do some mixing, and some hard 3D if my ablities will let me.

I'm living in New York at the moment.
I started flying mine with the stock mixes (as per manual) and refind from there. Looks like I'm going to be back in the US next week - very excited!

finally got in the second flight on this awesome plane today, I also have some video on the second flight, I had some problems with my second rx so I took it out and did not have any other troubles out of the plane, tomorrow I will talk with Futaba about the G3 2048 rx and see if they will check it out or send mr another, had the same problem with the rx on its maiden flight but changed channels and was able to get it in the air but today I was not able to get the rx to work right no matter what channel I put it on.rx would not let the surfaces move in sych with the other side.and some times it would not work at all not even when I pulled the antenna out and moved it around. I will get the vid made up tomorrow and post it as well, I recomend this plane to anyone SOLID!!!!!!!!!!!

well its a toss up , comp 3.0 260, comp 3.0 yak, or the 37.5 sd yak. I really do like that 260. What ever I get I know it will have a DA 170 in it.

150 is more than enough on the 260 imo

I'm with you there. I've run 260's with both Greves tuned pipes and Zimmerman cans and both are great. The 170 is great and if you're off to buy a new engine for the project - it makes sense but if you enjoy keeping money in you're wallet I think the'll be lots of great 150's coming up second hand as this summers vogue item hits town!

Well today I put flights 7,8, and 9 on this plane, for the first time I tried the sportsman Imac with this plane, I think I done ok but the plane did really well, I cannot wait to start competeing with the plane and to get my Yak 55 3m with the DA-170 ready for some awsome 3D performance, my landings are improving grately with these bigger planes, I am able to get the thing to slow down enough to where I am not stalling it to get it on the ground, thanks to Daniel who has shown me a trick or two on throttle management, I am glad I chose this airframe for IMAC, I tried some3D stuff at the Heatwave but blew both servos out on the right aileron,on this airframe I decided to go ahead and put the Power Box Royal in the plane, after the second flight, the smoke system needs to be removed,cover two switch holes in the fuse and she should be a little lighter, finally put a tach on the engine on the 9th flight, I am getting around 5700 with the 32X10 prop, I am sure this will improve after a little more break-in, just starting the third gallon

today on flight number 10 I almost lost my toy, the left aileron locked up on an while I was inverted doing a split S, it tried to fly into the ground but I did not give up, tried to roll out of it but seemed to make it worse, elevators were almost unresponsive, but it might have been just me, about 10 feet off the ground, I was able to roll out of inverted, but it was still tricky in gettering it back home as I was about 2000 feet or better from the landing strip,the more I flew the plane the better it got but still tried to fly into the ground s I was fighting it all the way in, the sound of the stuck ailron was light a hot rod skidding out of control until I put here on the ground, a little harder of a landing than I wanted but I was just glad I had the plane back in one piece, I assume when I touched the ground that is what knocked the aileron back straight, at first I thought I was out of radio range but after checking every thing out it was the ailreon stuck in reflex, up, I am going to do away with the 2in servo arms on ailerons and go with the 1 1/2in servo arms then go with the three servos per half to help fix this problem, servos are to exspencive to blow every fourth flight.
