Is there a way to test a crank before installation.

Yhea throw it in a trash can if it bounces back out and up on to the counter top ,its a good one.
I d rather tinker my time away at building than messing.with a Chineese engine.

And I would rather spend my time flying with my reliable Chinese engine than deadsticking with a DA.

yeah i was thinking the same thing a good machinist should have no problems making that work.

i am a little nervous now as i have a newer dle 55, i had an older 50 with no problems but traded it and i hope this 55 holds up as well.

Have any of you tried a DM55 from hobbyking ? I have one with about 2 gallons of gas through it . It seems to be doing pretty good.

Well! I am trying to make a bad engine into a good running engine. I was able to get my hands on a EME55 with a bad crank. I ordered a DLE55 crank and, visualy compared it to the crank that was originally in the EME once it was removed. The removal of the aluminum hub was a pain in the a$$, even using a puller, this was due to the defective cranks used by EME (DLE rejects) were not properly forged. The same hub used, slid into the new DLE crank like a proper fitting glove. The rear case has been properly sealed using the anaerobic gasket maker. It will cure properly sitting overnight. I will post a video of the engine running good or bad. We will see...
